A sickness

Last weekend I was on a golf trip to Whistling Straights in Wisconsin. While playing the course that they played the PGA on and will host the Ryder Cup and other top end tourneys, I was thinking about how smooth Lake Michigan looked and was day dreaming about pull. I even asked the caddies about water temp and do they ever see tow boats out.

Great course for those who love golf, but you will be distracted by the glass!

I would ask for help but you can't help me and I'm not sure I really want it.

I used to live in michigan and have skiing out on the "big lake" a few times.. The water wasn't usually to warm but if you went early enough in the morning it was normally pretty calm. We used to take our Sea Doo's out on the lake in the spring when the storms would blow over, I've seen waves as big as 14'.

GOOD TIMES! Biggrin.gif

Must be nice to be you Greg S. Poor nobodies like me do not get the opportunity to go golfing on coarses like that. If I am not mistaken you travel all over the Country touring top end golf coarses. Wish I could be like you. Crazy.gif

We use to ski on Lake Michigan around Hammond, IN. There were some warm water discharges from the power plants/steel mills and the temp was great. We seeemed to get the smoothest water a couple hundred yards from shore. Forget it on the weekends..too many boats. We actually went bar hopping in Chicago on a Sport Nautique a few years ago. Being on the Chicago River and looking up at the HUGE skyscrapers was a trip!
