Ok so over the weekend I was wakeboarding behind my boat and my buddy was driving. A large cruiser came up river and threw up a huge wake and my friend not knowing any better went right through it. The boat came out of the water enough that they could hear the motor rev up then the boat came down pretty hard on the next wave. my question is everything seems alright but should I check something else? or am I being overly paranoid? Obviously he feels terrible and I explained that next time just slow down and save the boat!

Should be OK these things are built pretty tough and tested rough as well. The motor has a rev limiter to prevent damage there so don't worry too much about it. Buy your buddy a beer and chalk it up to experience. At least he did not chop the throttle and send the wave over the bow. That would have been far worse.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was riding behind my boat in the CA delta. My very experieneced buddy was driving, we were in a narrow area and a large crusier was coming stright toward us. My buddy looked back at me to see what I was gonna do, I just held on to the handle.

I saw the bow of my boat pitch skyward like I've never seen before, buddy probably let it down gently, and we rode through the huge rollers. Never even thought about any sort of damage. These boats are pretty tough.

Hey I wanted to apologize to you....

I just bought this large cruiser and was just testing it out at full tilt. Wanted to see if we could capsize the first boat driven by a friend of the owner and you were it. Sorry.
