Bimini Cleaning

My black bimini has some water spot staining and I'd like to clean during the off season. What is the best way to wash / clean the bimini fabric? I'm not sure if it is too big for my front loading washer or if I should take to a laundry-mat. Is there anything I need to treat the bimini with after washing it? Any help is appreciated.

Last fall my wife washed our black bimini in the washing machine (top load) using cold water and the gentle cycle. I believe she used Woolite for detergent. She hung the bimini out to dry and it looked brand new after the process of washing / drying. Pay close attention when removing the bimini from its framework. When I reassembled our top I got the front bar that engages the tower in upside down. It won't work that way  . No big deal, but an issue that could have been avoided if I paid closer attention when taking the bimini apart.

Good point Murphy on bimini framework, however, too late for me to benefit from your experience. I've already taken everything apart. I'll have to post again if I have difficulty re-assembling.
