89 Malibu velvet drive water in fluid

I'm in watching the fluids on my velvet drive and it got water in it at some point. I've sucked all the fluid out of it three times now and keep topping it off with fresh fluid but I don't ever seem to get all of it. That or something inside of it is leaking water into it. I have not looked very closely at it is there a water jacket inside that unit? Is there a trick to it draining all the fluid out of it? I've been using a vacuum pump through the dipstick hole .

Thanks in advance

My bilge had too much water in it which caused the shaft coupler to spew water into the trans vent. Always make sure your shower is turned off at the diverter valves, the valve on the shower head, and the switch.
