What would you rather have (if anything)

With the raptor thats a pretty good deal. Im scared of buying it and then not being able to dial the surf wave. I know it can be done on a LSV. Otherwise I would consider it.

look at this thread. Looks like dialing the new switch equipped boat was pretty easy for this guy on his first day on the water: http://www.mbboatowners.com/index.php/topic/3209-2015-23-b52-wb-maiden-voyage/

listed, my personal experience is that it's dead simple.

If I were ONLY worried about the surf wake on our new boat the choice would be pretty easy, I think. I just know that the wakeboard wake is also a concern for us, especially at newb-speed, and my personal experience is that it's gonna be washy till 22ish on the mb.

the new boat also has some tug-boatish lines that even I have some trouble with.

I will give MB a look, but they don't appear to have a 'local' dealer for me, so that may bump them off my list unfortunately.

honestly, that's also one of our factors. And I do have a "local-ish" dealer (2.5 hrs) who is very accommodating with me. The rub is that I've now got an in-town axis dealer who I already have a working relationship with anyhow. Five hour round trips to drop off and pick up for warranty work or service I can't do myself kinda takes the oomph out of the new boat warranty.

Other factors -- MB has a 3 year "boat" warranty, lifetime hull warranty, and indmar is offering five years on the new raptor motors (without buying some overpriced boat insurance or some other gimmick). Axis warranty is pretty weaksauce -- 2 years, and parts only in year 2. LOL like I'd have to pay for labor if something breaks in year 2? C'mon axis.

I am pretty fortunate overall with our local dealer network. We have Malibu, Axis, Mastercraft, Nautique, Supra and Moomba all within 35 minutes of our house - so I have no complaints.

I too was surprised by the Axis warranty. I wouldn't say it's a deterrent for me, but it certainly doesn't do anything to pull me into the brand.
