I picked this up last weekend and was wondering if anyone else is using this system and has some input on it.

I seems like a much better system that an anchor line off the bow and a land line to my sandspike, especially when I'm at the river and the current can be a PIA.

I've never seen that before ... looks like a pretty good way to go. Let us know how you like it after giving it a try.

It seems simple enough, those two cam devices are basically rock climbing ascenders. The only drawback I see is that you don't have a stretchy line connected to the bow so, you wouldn't be able to pull your boat in to access it like most people do with anchor buddies.

The one issue I see is the rear floating bouy may make the line more likely to get hung up in the prop/rudder

I do something very similar, using a long anchor line and my anchor buddy. I have a bouy at the bow connection (clip) and the rest of the anchor line runs to the short stake - with a rear clip tied into the line.

When I pull up to the shore, I come in with an arc to the left, and have someone grab the bouy off the bow - they can then clip it on. Then give the boat a little reverse to continue to swing the rear around to the right (now backing into the shore), the guy in the front, can just lift the remaining anchor line, that is attached to the shore. Just grab the line, and you can pull the rear of the boat (now shut off) close in to the shore (and find the rear clip)

Done -

When leaving, just disconnnect the rear line, let it sink down, and pull the boat out a bit by the front - The anchor buddy pretty much does that anyway, as soon as you disconnect the rear line.

Using this process, you never have to jump for the line on the shore, everything is always connected
