Powdercoating Illusion tower

I was wondering has anyone taken off the Illusion and had it re-powdercoated another color than black? The color scheme on the new boat is black and yellow and I think a yellow Illusion would look killer!

Mine is powder coated charcoal grey but, I did not do it. What I have heard though is that some colors are hard to match. I would pay a little extra if need and have a small piece of material coated to make sure you like the color and it matches the boat.

My brother (06 VLX) had his tower match the boat colors (lime green). The first try the color was off. Then he got in the middle of "the blame game" with everyone pointing the finger (Malibu, local dealer, Illusion tower dealer, powdercoater). The powdercoater didn't have the proper color match of the Malibu color scheme. My brother then called a local powdercoater who told him that was a ridiculous claim because they have over 2 million colors & should be able to match with no problems. He finally called Malibu and said he would return the boat if it didn't get fixed.

Anyway, all parties finally gave in and the boat looks great today.
