Acceleration@less than 160 degrees

smooth as glass

After a recent tuneup, and clearing codes etc. I've discovered that I have to warm up to 160 temp before accelerating or I get into the rpm limiter. Its not that big a deal since I've always warmed up before hammering it anyway but maybe only 140 or 150 , now it has to be on the 160 before I juice it. Anyone know what gives. or was it suppose to be like this last 5 years. Mike

ECM phased warm up should be out of play at 139 degrees (Monsoon, right?)...I'd start by checking the engine temp sensor that feeds signal to the ECM and then I guess the temp sensor that feeds the gauge, as you may be getting a faulty reading on either one.

EDIT: actually, the phased warm will let you cut it loose at 140 degrees + 10 seconds
