tuning a sub? (kicker L12

Well i had my system "rev10's and kick l12" sub "professionaly" installed to come to find out that they gave me the wrong amp. well we got that sorted out and I had them install the right amp. then come to find out the new syn 4 amp was not tuned properly. (no base at all coming from tower speakers, crossovers were turned almost all the way up) worked with wet sounds and got that portion figured out and now I want to move on to the sub.

When i have it base turned up all the way in the head unit the sub does not hit nearly as hard as it should? where will i want to start? its a 500w RF amp powering a Kicker solo beric L12

Start by setting your gain properly. Then follow that by setting the crossover and infrasonic filter to where it meets the needs of your sub/enclosure (may want to consult Kicker on this). Then finally adjust your EQ if needed.

Can you elaborate on what you are turning up? Sub RCA output level or bass frequency.

What head-unit RCA outputs are connected to the sub amp?

Is this a mono amp or a 2 chnl? Is your sub a 2 or 4 ohm DVC?

Is the enclosure sealed, ported, etc, whats its volume?
