PCV Valve

Recommended Posts

I tried to search but only found one thread which did not address the issue. I ordered a new PCV Valve which Bakes confirmed was the correct one for my boat. However, height wise it will not fit & the existing hose does not have a valve (circular portion of valve will fit)? Am I doing something wrong? What is the correct way to install this thing?

Here's what I have now

Did you pull the correct hose? I haven't checked it, but my engine has a hose on each valve cover, and I think only one is a PCV valve.

I actually didn't check the other side. I am following the hose from the flame arrestor down to the valve cover. Perhaps I need to check the other side.

The PCV valve hose is connected to the intake manifold. The one connected to the arrester is a simple vent/breather. Sounds like you don't have the PCV.
