Going through and detailing our new (used 2012) A22 and so far everything looks good except the mat on the swim platform it peeling up a little around the edges and the side closest to the transom is trapping debris and crap in it. Has anyone had any success in gluing this mat back down?

I used to help out at a Nautique dealer in the area. They used contact cement, like for gluing counter tops down. It worked quite well. You have to let it get sticky and almost dry on both sides before you stick it together.

Another good option is Hydroturf. Comes in a variety of colors, non-skid & a lot less expensive. Order it with PSA on it, cut it easily with a pair of scissors to whatever size or shape you want.

This is a similar product called Gator Grip that is no longer available. It was done out of some scraps several years ago & still looks the same. Have matching steps on the gunnels & bow.

You can do repairs using a spray on product like 3Ms Super 90 spray adhesive.

There's a Malibu tech bulletin on this. It covers cleaning and proper adhesive. Call your dealer.
