Carolyn B 0 Posted May 3, 2014 Help. I need to replace my stereo and speakers in my 1990 F3 skier. How do I find a stereo that will work in the rectangular opening in the dash? Right now there is nothing in the hole. I don't think there's room to enlarge the opening. I've seen stereos, i.e Overton's catalog, but most have faceplates that are larger than the opening in my boat. Any experience with this issue or suggestions? Also, to be sure the speakers will fit in the openings that are already in the side panels, I assume I can use speakers that are larger than the openings but not smaller. Right? Thanks for your help. Go to top
bbbabe1 15 Posted May 3, 2014 Assuming it's the same as our '92 Sunsetter, you'll need to get a 1 DIN headunit. And I believe the speakers are 6.5". You could get larger speakers if you wanted to cut bigger holes, but I would just get two pairs of 6.5" speakers. Go to top
jastahler 0 Posted May 5, 2014 I have a 93' Euro and have your standard automotive deck in mine, the hole was in-larged just a bit in order to fit the deck. Go to top
