IAC for Black Scorpion Engine?

Recommended Posts

My bud has a Black Scorpion engine in his 1996 Response. I've changed the IAC in mine, but it's the 350 Magnum MPI and is a different fuel enjection system.

On his throttle body he has two units on the side. I'm sure one is the IAC. I'm thinking it's the lower one??? Is that correct. Do I need to remove the exhaust where it attaches to the manifold to get to the bolts if so??

Do you have a part number as the local shop had difficulty locating it??? duh?? They said the whole throttle body needed to be replaced... That seems totally wrong to me!

Thanks

I believe it is item 33 on this schematic. I love this site. Just get his serial number then drill down from the parts by drawing to find what you need.

Edit, this doesn't look like the right engine since you say throttle body injection. Do you have his mercruiser serial number?

Probably more like #7 on this page: http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show_Pictures3.asp?dnbr=827680965&ivar=images/COMMON/47047.png&inbr=2346&bnbr=120&bdesc=THROTTLE+BODY
