LSV Windshield frame

Recommended Posts

Arizona247

Hey Crew- My boat (2011 247) just went in for service and they found cracks in my windshield frame. Now they are ordering me a new windshield, but I have to pay to have it tinted again. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this why they are changing the design of the frames?

Bingo. Mine just got repaired for the same issue. I have 4 friends with Malibus of the same vintage and all 4 of them have had this same issue.

My windshield was tinted also. This has nothing to do with the Failure. The new one got tinted also.....free of charge.

Malibu's cheap china made window failed under warranty. NOT MY FAULT. Since their part failed, why should you be on the hook to pay to have it re-tinted? Doesn't make sense.

I would give a little push back........I did. They know this is a problem.

Thanks for the feedback..They don't want to pay for my re-tint which I'm struggling with….You with think that considering that I have been talking about buying a 2014 MXZ, that they would want to make sure I'm happy….Maybe a G25???

there are some screaming deals on 2013 450hp G23s right now... G23 feels like a bigger boat than a 247 IMO.
