Bimini Top Manufacturers

So, I've been looking for a bimini top for an Illusion XS tower and having no luck finding anything used/unwanted so i'm asking.. Is Bakes pretty much the only option to get one made that will fit all the OEM fittings and such? Just can't seem to find much out there.

I've got the Bakes one on my Illusion and I have to say it's pretty dang awesome. When I bought the boat, it was bright purple (purple?!?!?!?) on a blue boat. Looked absolutely wretched. $700 for a new one was a non-starter for me when I had a perfectly good, albeit ugly, one. I took the purple one into an upholstery shop and they're making me a new one out of black Sunbrella as we speak for $300. Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

But your original question asks if there are other options. The ones from Towerbimimis look almost identical to the Bakes ones, and at a higher price. The only thing is the Bakes ones (to my knowledge) only come in solid colors, whereas the tb.com ones can come in stripes, etc. That's pretty cool.

Regardless, my thought is that since the Illusion is somewhat specialized, you're going to pay a premium for accessories for it no matter where you go. But boy it is a nice bimini and it looks killer on that tower.

I agree with you 100% Baylor. I had one until yesterday when it became dislodged (Had it under a cooler and somehow it still took flight) and we couldn't find it when we went back to look (Was not fun running around the interstate at night and the next morning).

In South Carolina I need one, was just hoping to find it for something not $700+ but i'm about to push that order button in the next few days if I can't locate something.

We have the extended one from towerbiminis.com and love it. Mounts right up to the factory mounts on the Illusion X tower and is much bigger than stock. It extends probably an extra foot and a half farther back than the stock sized bimini. I've always though the stock ones were pretty useless unless you're sitting in the driver's seat or the observer seat facing backwards.
