2014 A22 Custom KICKER/Wetsounds install

Looked at a full Wetsounds install but I really like the new KICKER marine lineup and the value. Rev 10s were a must and found a smoking deal on a barely used set with a Syn4.

A huge thank you to Mike Simms of Mike's Liquid Audio (chpthrill). I worked with him on a previous ballast install and it was an easy choice to use him for my stereo equipment.

List of equipment:

Wetsounds - Pair of Rev10s with red LED rings and speaker socks, Syn 4, and 420SQ with their new under dash mount.

KICKER: 4 - KM654lcw, 2 - KM8lcw and CompR 12" in a 1.54 cu foot sealed box. 1 - KXM 400.4, 1 - KXM 400.2 and 1 - KX 800.1

Following pics are the amp rack and sub box install. Mids and tweets are on their way and I will post pics once they are installed.

Looks great so far. What did you use for the panel in front of your sub/enclosure? It looks clean and factory.

1/2" birch for the ring. Primer and spray on bed liner. 3/4" expanded metal for the grill. I sprayed it with bed liner as well. I am going to put subwoofer cloth behind it. That way you won't see the sub but will still see the red LED ring behind it.

I used 3/4" medex for the amp rack but 1/2" would have worked better. Primer and plastidip. If I did it again I would use bed liner. The plastidip has a nice finish but isn't nearly as tough as the spray on liner

Update:

Installed all the mids. KM8s were a pain in the azz to cut in but they are going to be worth it. I LOVE the look of these new KICKER speakers and the LEDs look ridiculous.
