Intermediate Wakesurfer board?

What do you guys recommend for a good intermediate to advanced board. I am 5'9 170lbs. I currently have an IS Blue lake which was great for the smaller waves I was on but now I have upgraded boats and can use something more agressive. I want to keep it under 500. CL has some shredd stix and Triple XXX available.

If it's a board for everyone to try, I use the Tako from IS. It's affordable, you can configure the fins 3 different ways so suit your riding style, and it's pretty durable. It can handle me doing airs on it (I'm 6'2" 185) and it's also easy for my wife to use (5'5" 125 soaking wet). Of course this directly deals with the conditions and boat as well, but we have a perfect record for new guys getting up and most, if not all, going ropeless on day 1. I don't guarantee that for everyone, but it's been that way for us and we don't do anything special.

Lots of differing opinions. My group likes - Phase Five Danielo Diamond - loads of fun!! We have a 2013 model.

yeah I have heard good things about phase 5. There is a used Phase 5 Prop on CL but I might have to step up and get Daniel model. My blue lake will be used for all noobs so I am taken care of on that end. I need something I can grow into.

Yes, sir! That's on our 99 SS VLX. Our ballast setup is super simple:

A single 750lbs sac in the ski locker on the surf side only and we have the passengers sit on the surf side as well (in those videos there was only the driver and one passenger with a combined weight of 270ish). If we have a regular footed rider and only a driver in the boat, we'll fill up an additional sac to about 300lbs and put it under the passenger side seat. We don't add weight anywhere else. Nothing up front, nothing in the center ski locker, and nothing in the non-surfing side ski locker.

edit: I forgot to add that we ride anywhere between 10.0mph and 10.5mph. Just depends on the wind and other lake conditions.

I have a phase 5 Prop, unless you have a big wave or really want a squirly skim style board I would stay away from this board. I have a Phase 5 Model X and love it. A friend has a Colt and it rides similar to the Model X. I have ridden a inland surfer red rocket and its like going from driving a bus to a decent sports car, I think the feeling would be the same moving from the blue lake as well.

I am 6'2 180.

M2 sports is going to let me try a couple of boards. I think I am going to try a Ronix Koal powertail and the byerly Buzz. They had so many options. No Phase 5 dealers around here.
