2012 Axis A22 LS3 spring maintenance?

Recommended Posts

I picked up this boat late last year and all the maintenance was completed when I picked the boat up. Well it's time to break the boat out of storage for this year but I'm unsure on what fluids I need and what all I need to change.

LS3 oil and quantity?

LS3 oil filter?

Transmission fluid and quantity?

Anything else I need to change for this upcoming season?

Thanks for the help!

No sadly it didn't but even if so I would like to hear other people's input on what they use and what all they do when breaking their boat out for the year.

What transmission is normally used with the ls3? My boat is in storage and I won't be able to get to it till this weekend to check things out but I wanna go ahead and get my fluids ready to go.

Depends on the year but it will take either dexron III/mercon or engine oil...color of fluid should be telling.

Thanks it's a 2012 so do you know which tranny the ls3 was mated with?

Not the model number, no. Why are you asking? They all have dipsticks. Just pull it out and check. It is EXCEEDINGLY unlikley that it has budged.

I'm curious and just wanting to make sure the different transmissions don't require different fluid, viscosities, or different amounts.

regardless of which one you have, the fluid is available at any auto parts store. Nothing special about it. My 2012 has 5.7 and a zf which uses dex3
