Any live near Owatonna, MN?

Word just came that I will be spending most of my summer up in the Owatonna area. I didn't know if anyone lived close to this area and if during warmer months they would be wanting a spotter for a few evening sessions?

What are some things to do in this part of the state? I may stay in Minneapolis a few weeks and make the hour drive south to visit that area. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Yes, I remember that from my day trip up there in December. I am used to the farm fields, but not when you are on a project by yourself. Looks like I may stay closer to the city (Burnsville/Eagan area) and make the commute.

I think you would be a lot happier doing that. Shouldn't be a ton of traffic for that commute as long as you stay south of the 494 loop and near 35. (Burnsville, Lakeville, Farmington)

+++1 commute won't be too bad and your evenings and weekends will be a lot more enjoyable with plenty to do.

To your title.... Nope.

I know where it is.

I know Giest, Morse and many more having lived in Westfield for over a decade.

I know corn and soybeans for as far as the eye can see, it pays the bills.

Good to see you are there for the summer. If you are there for the winter I would question lots of things.

Come to the southeast, warm, water, sun, fun..... Winter starts sometime around Christmas and is gone by the end of February.

If you want to see snow that is why there are airplanes....

I do know a lot of folks who work in the twin cities, what are you doing there?

I live on Lake Pierson near Victoria MN. I mostly slalom or barefoot behind my sportster. If you need a pull let me know.

I'm from a little NW of Minneapolis... but it looks like my Mon-Thurs I'll be in Tampa, FL for the remainder of the year. Maybe we could figure out something on a weekend!

I implement warehouse management systems for a living. I will be on a project up there for most of the summer. Before that, I have to finish a project up out in LA.

Is that like Dynamics NAV?

If you get bored down there, you could always get into target shooting. Ammo would be easy with Cabelas right there!

NAV is considered an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool which allows managing your entire business from Accounting/Finance, HR, Resource Planning, etc. A WMS can be found in a package like NAV but the type I work on usually are add-ons with more functionality/visibility to inventory within the four walls of a warehouse.

I may have to bring a few of my guns up to do some shooting.

There is a show team in Albert Lea just south of Owatonna. I think there is a ski timeshare in Prior Lake in a quarry too.

quarry is members only. There are show teams on prior and the river. Guy I work with is in the river rats.
