Will a 4000# lift be sufficient to do the job under my boat?

You should be fine. I bought a 4000# for my Response LXI this season and have no plans to replace it if I went to a VTX in the future.

New or used for you? If new get the widest lift you can fit and if you are doing a canopy go extra long. More coverage never hurts and it won't limit you later if you go to a different boat.

I think you're good. I had my SSLX on a 4000# hoist.

mine will be a floater do you think that is still OK? not a hoist.

Give the boat floater folks on Hwy 13 a call...they'll know for sure.

I have a 4400lb Hydrohoist under our Txi and it is plenty of lift. You should be fine.
