wakesurfing setup on 247

So I'm thinking I could save a lot of time tinkering with ballast and stuff by simply asking what the best weight setup is for wakesurfing.

Boat is a 247, 4 ballast tanks and power wedge.

I have heard everything from fill it all up, to only fill the port side tanks. Wedge 1/2..?

Anyone have the perfect setup?

I posted that pic.

We had all the ballast filled and an extra 400lb sac in the trunk.

Power wedge set around 1/2 - you'll know when its right cuz it'll really dig in.

And probably about 10 VAB all to port.

Speed between 10 and 11 I think.

Probably had an extra curl to it cuz everyone was leaning over the edge to get a pic of the North Shore Wave.

great info. Thanks. I won't always have 10 people on board, but then again, sometimes I'll have 16... I'll see if I can trump your wave with one of my own. Also, I know that there is an entire thread on props, but what do you 247 guys run? I am not really all that excited about my hole shot, so the dealer gave me three acme props to try. I'd like to keep 2, just in case.

Thanks Brad! It was your pictures that got me to pull the trigger on the 247 :)

I bet the truth be known, there were several 247's sold off that picture. As well a few Power Wedges. I've heard some stories about different companies wanting that picture. If RiverRunner hadn't had that beer label covered up, we might have another 247 in North Texas.
