New tow Rig

Ottomatic

Recommended Posts

I am considering buying a new lexus lx 570 but I want to make sure it will tow my 2013 23 lsv. I have a tahoe right now and it sucks but I need a suv for the family. If anyone has any experience with these cars let me know what you think!!

As a toyota guy I thought I would chime in. I have a Sequoia and my friend has the Land Cruiser the 570 is more like the Land Cruiser exact same without a few bells cost is almost the same some things only come on the Land Cruiser. The 570 can get a few bells the Land Cruiser can't also so its about what bells you want to me the 570 is a better pick as far as bells.. With that said the Both pull great. The Land Cruiser is a little softer suspension. His 08 VLX would squat purity bad. He upgraded the shocks and it helped but didn't fix. He picked up a 13 VLX it sits way better on the trailer and has a little squat but it is very little he says he may add a air suspension down the road or make sure you buy it with the adjustable suspension. If you are looking at the 570 I would plan on adding air suspension right out of the gate that way you keep the great ride and just use the air when towing. If you haven't looked at the Sequoia I would check it out same power suspension will handle way more than a 23 LSV and way more room on the inside in the back the way them seat set take up way to much room and the 3rd row on the Sequoia seats 3 comfortable. Big trip we always take my ride more room comfort and tows better. When I bought I started to go with the 570 but I wanted the most for my $ and the Sequoia is that hands down between the 3. Just my 2 cents

One more thing I seen you said you had a Tahoe the Sequoia is in its own class. When you take a look at them you will see you will have twice the room behind the 3rd row it is so bad the my neighbor with a Tahoe sold his after he seen the room behind mine. Yea that happened LOL. The 3rd row man it is insane how much room you have I have the limited and the even recline with the push of a button and seat 3 with no problem and hide in the floor. Now the suspension is a wishbone and will take a little getting use to. Do a little research and you will see it is the better way to go as far as safety.
