Boat Lift Capacity

Just a completely different avenue of thought, I bought a 10k lift so I would never have to worry about it. Have you considered utilizing this time to upgrade and upgrade hard just so you "never have to worry about it" again?

I don't think you're going to find much more than "I would risk it" or "I wouldnt" on a forum of boat owners. Most of us aren't engineers that deal in material strength every day. GL!

I bought the Floe VSD 7500 for the very same reason.

I stopped in at Western lift and Dock in Edmonton "Flow dealer" picked up a new heavier SS cable and upgrade pulley kit. Owner has a 09 VTX on a V-4600 doesn't give it a second thought.

I still plan on proceeding with caution. Moving my lift to and from my beach location is a big deal.

Can a shore master with a rated lift of 3800 lbs lift and hold a 2006 23vlx the specs are at 3900 lbs

That's not a good idea.  At minimum I'd want to be on a 5000# rated lift for that boat.  Even that would be pushing it.  My previous boat was 3500# dry and was pretty heavy for my 5000# lift.
