Ski for CFO

Recommended Posts

CFO has a b-day coming up and she threw off a hint for a slalom ski the other day. Unfortunately, we don't have access to many skis to demo and don't know where to start. I remember the pain it was to get a ski for me a couple of years ago, and I know she won't go to those extremes to find one! She is strictly a rec skier and skis at 29-30 and likes to cruise with a few cuts thrown in for good measure. Not very aggressive, but loves to ride! She is on a VERY old Hart EP Comp 1 65"--but wants to try something newer with double boots--small...anyone have something laying around that might fit the bill or have some ideas on how to figure this out?? (It is a big B-Day, so the pressure is on!)

I second the vote for the Venture...my wife rides one and skis pretty well with it. Wouldn't be surprised to see her make a full pass one of these days. Wiley's normally has some blems that can be had at a savings.

We will definitely check out the Venture. What do you guys think about a Kidder Redline Graphite Pro? There is one on eBay that looks promising...right size and bindings.

Thats a tried and true design, thats for sure! It's basically still around to today in KD and D3 designs.

I was just going to add that an HO esprit is based in the profile of a System 8/monza, but softer flex, and "girlie" graphics. It is the latest in women's ski technology. My wife just got one and really likes it....she was coming off an old 64" redline of mine! Same boot options as with the HO comp/freeride series.

Give Wileys a call www.wileyski.com They have some great deals on ski and boot packages and can also give you some ideas. Great customer service. I bought my wife a KD 3000 from them with double Wileys and she loves it. At the time it was a toss up between the KD and the HO Esprit. The KD was just a little better deal at the time but both are great options.
