I'm out, totals below. My usage %'s are a bit of a guess. Always intend to ski more than we do. Post your totals if you are north of the equator and out for the season:

2008 VTX with LCR

Fuel: 260 gallons

Surf: 40%

Tubing: 25%

Wakeboard: 20%

Cruising: 10%

Ski: 5%

Couple check engine issues (low battery), but no major trouble. Very fortunate.

Are you guys just estimating these percentages?

Yes, just guessing. It is interesting to see how people spend their time though.

This has been the worst year I have had! The least hours I have had since we got the boat. The one good thing is 100% have been skiing. I did get more hours behind another ski partners boat the usual. Its just been a BAD year. Cold wet and tones of junk in the water all spring. Windy summer, And some very good skiing this fall but ended wit a bad case of sciatic so ended very poor.

Oh well I am looking forward to next year.

Agreed. It was a strange year for weather. Cool, windy.

I will have my "New Trick Smiles" on until Spring. I added 6 new friends to my crew, all footers that really helped me achieve some goals. Cant wait til spring!

2010 lsv

57 hours

90% surfing

10% tubing (first year ever there's been a tube behind any of my boats, smile on my 2 year old daughter, priceless)

This was the first year I have left my boat up at the lake for the whole season so my hours are down(usually I am good for 150) however we did put 100+ hours on regular home crew boat. I also made a conscious effort this year with my new boat to not put unnecessary hours on the clock, by this I mean I always turned boat off when someone was not being pulled. I figure I was putting on 20% wasted hours in previous years having the boat idling between riders, filling and emptying ballast, switching sides, floating listening to stereo etc. I think all the 5 minute idle times add up to a lot more hours at the end of the season than I ever gave thought too. What is everyone else's practice?

2000 Sunsetter Lx

90 hours

60% Surfing

30% Wakeboarding

10% Skiing (Usually higher but I ripped my bindings at beggining of season and did not get any replacements till last week)

5% Kneeboarding/Tubing (mostly youngins)

5% Cruising (most of this is cruising to the next part of the lake for the next activity)

Fuel pump issue that resulted in .5 of a day lost

2 months of travel for work that I did not get to hit the water

Season ain't over yet for me  ... but been hard to get a crew to go out since football season started.

Want to add foiling next year.

Try and hit 400 lolSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We will try, but calling for highs in the low 50s this week which will plummet the water temps. As long as it stays aid temp around 55 or 60 and the sun is out we'll be out there!

A typical full time work week is 40 hours or five 8 hour days. 350 hours is almost the equivalent of 9 weeks of full time boating, and that doesn't include time when the boat is off, either because just floating or turned off between sets. Crazy.
