Two questions

1. For the pump that is not working can i just unscrew and replace the pump insert and leave the shell and housing of the pump attached for easier replacement?

2. I have the 800 GPH in there now can i replace these with the 1100 gph pumps?

Thanks

The answer to #1 is yes.

#2 is going to be a bit of a challenge. The 800 gph pumps have a 3/4" outlet and the 1100 gpm pumps have a 1-1/8" outlet according to the cut sheet on the Bakes site. http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=1613

SInce you would have to neck down from 1-1/8" to 3/4" going into your hard tanks anyway, I'm not sure that you would be gaining a whole lot.
