SUNBRELLA BOAT COVER TURNING UPOLSTERY BROWN

Recommended Posts

I HAVE A 2004 RESPONSE LXI. WHEN THE COVER IS LEFT ON IN THE SUN, THE UPOLSTERY TURNS BROWN WHERE THE COVER TOUCHES IT. THE LONGER ITS LEFT ON THE BROWNER IT GETS. ANY IDEAS?

I had that problem with a 2010 LSV (and others) that sat outside in an area that gets sun most of the day. I started putting a white sheet over the rear deck before I put the black cover on. Problem solved. If you leave the vinyl in direct sun for a few days the brown spots will more than likely go away.

Dont freek out... it is a weird chemical reaction between the vinal and the sunbrella nobody really understands what is happening but just let it sit in the sun for a few days uncovered you will be amazed how it disappears.

Mine never recovered and got worse, Taking it in next week, Warranty replacement, Malibu sent me 2 new front bow panels, Only effected the dark grey part, I left it on 1 time at my house on a 90 degree day and it ruined the panels, Funny did not hurt the same color on the back sundeck, just the bow, photo5_zps90e6b688.jpgphoto41_zps2bed27fb.jpg
