Response glove box gas shock

I need a new gas shock for my ’01 Response LX. Anyone changed one of these before? Did the new shock just clip on with no issues?

Would you get one from Overtons? I have not removed mine to measure it yet.

Remove it and take it to a parts store to get the correct size. They are expensive for what they are.

Be careful removing it, it is charged with a gas, and will fire like a missile at about 300 mph destroying anything in its path!!!

Just kidding...actually it is a simple DIY, remove clip and take it off...bring it with you to an auto parts place or order one online. On the "difficulty scale" of 1-10, it is a 1.
