Don't cheap out, do it right the first time. It will only save you money in the long run.

How to drill through my hull when installing transom lights. Something that hurts your heart when your drilling into your baby below the water level. Thanks Brian!

Dont cheap out ..... is probably the best allround advise, however the help fixing my suburban ABS system probably saved me the most $$$$. So far anyway.

The entire how to do modifications forum. The member discounts are great too! The other forums are more for entertainment than advice IMHO. Thanks TMC!

1. Run wire from head unit and amp straight to battery or distribution block. I hated that hissing noise.

2. General maintenance (oil, V-drive, trans) the type of fluid, how much and how to check.

when fighting with hecklers at the boat ramp, shirt must be off.

quit screwing around with aerator pumps.

even a moron can do basic boat maintenance (I'm living proof!).

when evaluating a used boat and maintaining your current boat, the trailer is as important as the boat (advice I wish I had heeded the first time).

how to wire add-a-battery, stereo, implement heater, drill holes in boat, troubleshoot and diagnose problems.

There used to be a great PDF of how to winterize an inboard floating around here. Downloaded on day 1 of ownership.

I would like to add some info I got on BallOfSpray That may have just been the best advice I have ever got from a site. For us boaters that spend time in the sun do a little research on Melanoma.

I found it last year and thankfully I caught it very early. Five surgery's four witch were for censer one the ended up not being censer and I am good to go! Didn’t even miss much time on the ski. I don’t want to be a downer but we spend a ton of time in the sun.

Taking my shirt off is probably not the best way to diffuse the situation.

Not everyone knows what Sperry Topsiders are.

SG waves are not the same as listed waves and vice versa.

My Boatmate trailer really does not suck, I just suck at launching & retrieving.

Nryan likes the 2315 prop, and Shawndoggy doesn't care for it.

My FJ Cruiser is not meant to tow my VLX.

Never use the words " Best " or " Hands Down " in the title of a thread.

IXFE is really hard on the new guys at TMC.

Bobby Bright does not really like Surfgate boats.

DocPhilMD wants everything free and retrofitted.

Once again, SG waves and listed waves are different!

quote of the year.

This is why I stay around this forum....
