Thermostat help

I am lost in which thermostat to use on my 1987 sunsetter 140 or 160 degree thermostat. I feel like a 160 would be best but wanted others opinion also.

I agree with 160

Thats been the operating temp on every inbaord boat ive owned.

The original tstat would have been a 140 degree unit - they use them as at that level a boat running in salt water won't have the salt crystallize and build up in the internals. If you run in fresh water a 160 tstat will work just fine and also allow a heater and hot water shower to be more effective.
