2013 mxz22 wake and surf setups

I just purchased an MXZ22 about two weeks ago. We have been out three times and trying to dial in a wake. We have 550's plug and play on top of the standard ballast. The boat has trouble planning for wakeboarding so I may add some weight up front. The surf wake is ok, I find that the sweet spot is close to the swim step. Any mxz owners out there with surfgate your opinions are more than welcomed.

Thanks

For surfing, fill up both rear tanks, both PnP, and center and bow ballast. Make sure auto wedge is enabled in maliview. Depending on your prop and engine you shouldn't have much trouble getting on plane. Set the speed to 10.4mph +/-.5 and the wedge at 2 to 3 clicks..... Should be a good starting point!

What power plant do you have in it. I have 6.0 litter and does great;it is toped out though when rear ballast 750 and 8 people for surfing no wedge no surf gate at 10.50. Awesome wave going to reprop next year though more power out of whole plane quicker.
