X46 wave

Part of the size factor of the wave is the camera angle. It looks to be on the swim platform angled just slightly up. Will make any wave look bigger. Which is good for their marketing.

I have heard that thing throws a monster wave though. Being 24ft long it should with the proper weight.

And the funny thing about that ^ picture is if you have ever ridden that style wave............IT SUCKS! Way too steep to do anything but stand there on. Try a 3 on that wall and see what happens.

Yeah, not saying it is the end all be all, just thought everyone might get a kick out of seeing the picture MC posted to Instagram.

I hear ya, no different than Malibu with the surfgate "sneak peaks".

That thing is crazy steep. Almost vert in that second pic. Im not a fan of waves that steep myself. Makes spins and slides way harder.

Im sure you can move a little weight around to make the wave a little less steep.

That wave is so steep because they have it leaned over crazy hard making it that shape, likely with 2-3 tons of extra weight.

That first wave is looking pretty good, that'd be fun to surf.. but nothing outrageous or massive.... waist high 15-20ft long for $110-$120k ..... we have VLX's on here that'd smoke that. Not hating... just saying, as MC pitches this as their premier surf boat.

The second pic has been out a while although maybe not posted by MC. They also had this one:

Oh wait, NO. Thats a VTX. As bobby said sometimes it's just the angle of the dangle.

^^^ Not giant. Decent wave for a 24ft boat with prob 10k lbs+ in ballast. Not exceptional by 2013 standards.... decent/good? yes. Some folks would say no because its too steep.

More camera games from low angles, 5'8" lol ?? dude crouching and kids. Yep the wave is going to look big when you play those camera games. We have 21VLXs throwing better waves.

The look on the girl's face must add at least another foot to wave.

Where is that MC guy who was on here last month touting the Xstar as a premier surfboat?
