erratic

I have a 2007 Malibu wakesetter with the 383 hammerhead. Here lately when I take it out and over 3500 rpm I get a miss and popping in the throttle body. Checked and changed the cap and rotor, but it didn't do any good. Now the onboard diagnosis says erratic crank signal. So I replaced crank sensor to no avail!@#$%^&* ? The wires look good and the female ends look tight . So do you have any suggestions? Any common fixes? t\u branden

ecm will limit rpm if it thinks temperature is low.

consider replacing temp sending unit.

Yeah I checked that. I was thinking it might be the control module under the distributor cap. What do you think?

I've had those fail, and unfortunately, it was due to a bad ECU.
