Who makes the OEM Boatmate trailer wheels?

Recommended Posts

Brett B

I would like to buy a spare wheel/tire setup for my trailer but I'm not sure who makes the OEM wheels that come on the Boatmate trailer. I'm sure I can buy them from Boatmate but would like to know the manufacturer name so I can shop around for the best deal. My boat is a 2012 VLX with the standard trailer and I would like to get a wheel that matches.

there are several brands, but I think that most lately have been Gear Alloy. Just call boatmate, they will give you the proper bolt pattern and spacing you will need.

Thanks. Gear Alloy makes the upgraded 18" wheels, but from their website they do not make the standard 14" wheels like the ones in my picture. That is the info I am looking for so I can get the same style in addition to the proper fitment, since there are lots of different trailer wheels that would fit but not match.

Hey B, I just bought a spare from Discount Tire there on Fishinger Rd. We don't have the same rims, but they might be able to match it.

I would suggust calling boatmate directly, I worked with their parts department for buying 4 wheels for my Eagle trailer when I purchased my boat new. They are very reasonable. More reasonable than purchasing the same 18" wheels from Eagle directly, so I had to order the trailer with no wheels and have dealer install them...

:plus1: They are a good company ...I would check with them first.
