Replace your white navigation light with a statue of an owl....that should keep them away, and make a good fashion statement to boot !

Rubber snake works all the time. Tie it to your nav light

I have ducks in our canal. The crap all over the swim step. Tried leaving rafts, wood, stuff and nothing keeps them away. Too close to other houses and people for 12ga

+2 for the owl. We have also use a floating crocodile head to keep the ducks away. Yours would be an alligator head though

I use 2 gull sweeps on my lift canopy. It works awesome. I tried the owl and the seagulls figured it out in a week.

We bought 2 of the owl statues for our dock and they didn't work very well. Don't waste your money on them IMO.

Try suspending them with fishing line so they move in the breeze.

Think the seagulls will be fooled by statues of birds in perched positions flying with their wings tucked away? :)

Where'd you find that?

No I don't. I have an owl suspended by fishing line about a quarter inch off the ledge it used to sit on. It turns slowly so it's not just stationary.

Use Sperry's on sparrow's.

I think the trick to owls or any other decoy is to keep them moving. Either suspended by a string so they blow in the wind or by putting them in a dicferent location each time you get em out. If they're in the same spot and don't move, critters catch on to it.

If the seagulls where you live are that smart, I would just hang one (1) milk sack from Canada and one (1) Sperry Topsider near the boat using a ripped up old white T-shirt. That ought to get your message across.

Nothing more fun than feeding seagulls white bread and hot sauce.

Yup. Did that. Still didn't work. And forget the DVD's on fishing line also. They didn't work either.
