Acme 1273 on a VTX?

I put this prop on this summer after Acme recommended it. In my opinion it's a great prop for the VTX. (I had a 537 on there to start.)

I lost about 2.5mph on the top end, but I can load the boat up with 8 people, full stock ballast, and another 1450lbs and still get a decent hole shot.

I upgraded my VTX from a 1939 to the 1273. Great Prop. Lost 2MPH on the top end (dropped from 43.6 to 41.5). Gains 150-190 RPMs at most speeds. Gained a lot more holeshot. Shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send you an excel spreadsheet of my RPMS at speeds with both props....

If you're footing, it might not be the best prop, but would be nice for surfing....

I too have considered this prop but went with the 1939 because I was worried about top end. My top end dropped just barely to 42 mph from 42.5 on the 537. The hole shot was improved but was not a drastic change. I would still like to try a 1273 if I could keep above 40 mph.

Also consider the 1941 as a sub for the 1939
