G3 Tower Boom Sidewinder

Recommended Posts

I have on order a '14 VTX and would really like to add a barefoot boom. The Sidewinder looks perfect other than being very expensive. I can swallow the price but am concerned about installing it on a brand new boat and possibly voiding the hull warranty. My dealer is looking into it but wanted to see if anyone had any magical advice.

Not sure if this is the same or just a very similar boom. But peter (smoothwaterman) on here is a malibu dealer who helped develop either that boom or one that is very very similar. Contact him and ask, I'm sure he can help you out and maybe talk to your dealer as it is something he uses regularly on one of his VTX's.

This is Peter's boom. He says it won't void anything if it is installed correctly, just trying to be 100% before I would take the chance to void the warranty. The boom looks perfect but I want to make sure that I am not going to cause an issue in the future.
