Power Wedge keeps blowing fuses

I'm the lucky new owner of a 2009 Sunscape 23 LSV with a power wedge that is driving me nuts. When we purchased the boat the PO mentioned that there was a wedge issue, the gauge would not work and anytime we went over 25 MPH the Maliview would show the "Wedge Down" warning. Most days I couldn't even get the wedge to move from the stowed position. After $800 and three weeks at the local dealer we get the boat back with a new wedge sensor. They also mentioned the fuse for the power wedge under the drivers compartment was blown.

We keep the boat docked all summer so I never actually got under the boat to check out their work. I started the boat up today and took it for the first ride since getting it back and immediately could tell the wedge was stuck down and would not move up. I started to search the site and came across a bunch of threads with some suggestions on where to look. I crawled under the dash to look for an inline fuse holder but only across a 10 amp fuse holder, nothing larger like in the TSB here: http://www.bakesonline.com/images/MediaLibrary/MalibuWedgeDiagnostic2011.pdf

In the fuse box below the steering wheel I found a 15 amp fuse for the Wedge that was blown. I didn't have any spare 15 amp fuses around so I swapped a 30 amp over from my stereo to test it out. After some calibration the wedge seems to work flawlessly. I have attached a few pics of the fuse box for reference as it seems they vary year to year.

So my question is did Malibu change up the wedge wiring year to year? Is it possible that there is no inline fuse in my 2009? Can I swap the current 15 amp fuse in the fuse box out for a 20 amp fuse like most of you guys recommend and be done with it?

Thanks for your help!

Do you have a pic of the 15 amp fuse? I have a 2008 with a 15 amp resettable fuse. It has a blue cover with a black reset button on top.

I do not have an inline fuse.

That sounds like the fuse I found in my glove box. For some reason the dealer pulled it and replaced it with a standard 15 amp fuse. After blowing the standard 15 amp fuse I tried the resettable one and it wouldn't work so my guess is it no longer works.

The dealer has been useless, they won't even return my email.

If you have a multilmeter your could always hook it up to see just how many amps she is drawing and whether the current draw is consistent for the wedges full range of motion. If it peaks in only one spot there may be a stiff spot in your actuator

The boat is in the water for the next few weeks so I can't check the actuators out. I'll try using the multimeter next weekend and see what's happening. Are the actuators rebuildable?

Thanks for the help so far!
