Manual Fixed Wedge Bolts Sheered...Arm is Bent...Fixable?

So, it appears I am now a victim of the bolts on my fixed wedge sheering off.

I purchased the wedge foil in 2010 from Bakes, while the bracket was a factory installation. Interestingly, there were only two screws on each side, but the arm had three screw holes. The screws are hex-heads.

I've read through the related posts here. In most cases, it seems that Malibu repaired/replaced the foils. However, it seems most of these issues were a few years ago. When I purchased the foil, I had assumed that these issues were long since behind the company. I guess not. In hindsight, I wished I had purchased the floating wedge and paid a little more for the mounting bracket.

Since it just happened yesterday, I have yet to contact Bakes. However, I was wondering if anybody was able to bend the arm back. If so, how did you do it?

the older arms only had two holes but then they did change to three holes because of this , yep get someone to heat it up and bend it back also drill the foil so you have three boits and this wont happen again...

Don't heat it! You will have a harder time straightening it and it will weaken the arm. Take it to someone with a hydraulic press. I had this happen to me and mine looked just like yours. Its really easy to press it straight.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Slurpee. He suggested that I straighten it out by running over it with a vehicle. It worked like a charm. Thanks!
