Heater Location in a 2002 SSLXI?

Morning Crew,

As the mornings are starting to get a little cooler in Colorado the time has come to install my Heatercraft 3 outlet heater in the SSLXI.

Can any of you shed some light as to where you mounted your heater or where they come mounted from the factory? I really like the idea of putting it under the drivers helm but I went and stuck a 12 JL sub under there and not sure there is still room for the heater without making a custom sub box.

Thanks for you input.

In every boat I've seen except the Response, it gets installed up under the dash. You can probably get it up and out of the way enough to install your sub but it might require some custom fab of the brackets. I'd recommend pulling the front bow seat bolster and installing it as high and tight to that surface as the tubes will allow.

As for locations, we have one on the dash (nice for those damp mornings when you're out early and the dew wants to form on the windscreen), one in the walkway, and one at the driver's feet next to the Basslink sub (which I like cause you still have leg-room).
