Driver will make or break backwards. A great footer will be made bad by a bad driver. A learning footer can be made to look great by a great boat driver.

As I heard at a lake one day "bare footing is 90% the driver unless I get this"

Hummmmmm.....doesn't this make you only half a man then, as the top half will be at the helm

while the bottom half will be footing......lol...:Tease3: I can just picture this, a pair of legs and feet

on the end of a short line. LMAO

47 years of it. It's what happens when I ski.

Good grip for skiing, Yes! But you'll find having your finger up over you handle will keep your shoulders straight, putting

your lower body aligned evenly. Less tendency to twist. Less crash and burns. Well maybe......lol....

Friend back deeps this morning.

Quote of the day. "One foots should be half as easy as two feet because you are only using one foot." :)

That's the beauty of being young and light. She foots around 28mph, maybe 30 when she 1 foots.

28 - 30 mph.....would be nice if I could go that slow

then those falls wouldn't be so dramatic. ...lol... guess on another note

I wouldn't be the crews entertainment then...!! Lol

I was the third for this guy. His first run this year at almost 70. He didn't miss a beat over the winter.

That's great!

So there's hope for me after all when I'm that age!! Lol.

Backwards is one thing I’ve never tried, question is at my age do I??? lol..

With the right instruction, yes.

My kid actually prefers it.

I've seen kids learn back easier than front. Now, I'm not that kid. :) I can teach it, yet to accomplish it. Though I'm about one more outing a way.

Me yesterday.

Yes your right, if I had someone with me that could do a demo and give pointers I'd be up

for it without a glitch. It's getting the basics down backwords.

If you ever get down to California, I can put you in contact with some really good footers. The only time I'll be your way would be in winter to hit Whistler.

Should you find yourself here in the summer one day, hit me up, the offer

is always open!

i'm very tempted; and w the right instruction i could be talked into it (although i'm not very smart).

biggest fear is hyper-extending the neck from going out the back (rather not aggravate an old injury).

keep wondering if a helmet w a strap from forehead to chest would give a little assist.

Barefootcentral's neck brace would be the best option. Designed for just this after Chuck injured his neck.

Yes a neck brace is a must! for barefooting! Best thing i had gotten after a hard

tumble / stumble quite a few years ago. Have never hurt my neck since, and have had my

share of stumbles
