The last day of my week at The Boarding School, we had 'Barefoot Friday'. We got going 40mph sitting on a wake surfboard, worked our way up to the nose, and ....went for it. I didn't last long on my feet and everyone had some epic wipeouts. Great time.

I don't think I will be trying footing off of a boom or anything else. I am always in awe of those that can do this and make it look so easy.

For those of you that have trouble holding onto the boom when catching a toe....if your hands are small of you have poor grip....you can always order up a boom handle extension (on a BFI Boom) that is a smaller diameter handle that attaches to the end of the boom via an allen screw.....it gets you further away from the boat (and hull spray) when holding directly to the extended boom handle (wont help when using a short line) and is also great for children because of the smaller diameter when they are using a boom to learn various watersports...

Note: A boom handle extension is different than a boom extension
