Ballast routing

Whats the easy way to integrate a bow sac? We never surf goofy nor do we load the rear ballast for boarding, yet anyway. So I have been using my starboard side 750 pound sac & a 12v pump manual fill/drain for bow weight. Thinking of routing the unused water lines to the bow & using the portside pump. But that would be like a 20' run of water tubing.

Then when I get my 1100 I plan to use the other 750 for more side weight. Should I just piggy back that off the 1100? Also, whats the best way to piggy back sacs?

they sell y valves and diverters, but you could go as far as just teeing off the pump with ball valves and opening one and closing the other to fill the bow. that's what I'm doing I tee'ed off my port side pump and it always fills the bag in the locker unless I open the other valve and then close the valve to the locker bag.

that's the simple way. otherwise some would argue the "right way" to do it is give it it's own thru hole and run to another pump to fill it.

I would have someone cut holes in the fiberglass and plumb it the right way with it's own pump and lines. I wouldn't piggy back it onto anything.

Are you going to put a bag in the ski locker or have it on the floor in the bow?

I have the locker bag already. I was gonna shove it under the seats of the bow. When I get my 1100 I was gonna shove the other 750 under the seats port side

Kinda of topic. If you were installing a ski locker bag would you put the pump in the tranny/engine area or in or near the ski locker? I think it's probably easier to put the thru hull in the rear of the boat as opposed to the ski locker. Thanks.

Down low by the V drive / tranny is where you want them for the lockers.

On early built 04's they used a bag and routed the drain and vent lines behind the kick panel of the driver seat.

What I might do it put a 't' above one of the intakes and run a line to a pump that then fills the bag. Then run a vent line and drain line out the side of the boat behind the kick panel and drivers side of the boat.

I wouldn't use one pump for 2 bags.
