99 Reponse Running Rich

My 99 response with 325 Monsoon started running rich the other day. I could smell gas when I set down at the end of a slalom pass. After some investigation the smell was definitely coming from the exhaust. It was running fine still but I noticed a slight miss. I bought the boat last summer, it had been setting up 5 plus years, it had very low hours (164 now). When I got it I removed the tank and cleaned it, replace all the fuel lines, fuel filters, and fuel pump. I did a lot of other maintenance, can't remember exactly what though.

Also, on the same day my tach quite working. I have installed PP stargazer and the tach on it was still working. The hour gauge on the tach was still working. Could these be related issues?

Is that injection system a open loop system? I was looking for a oxygen sensor and didn't seem one.

So where do I start? I was thinking temp sensor, stuck open injector, fuel regulator?

Thought I might look at the spark plugs first and see if one looks fouled.

Here is the thread you want. It's likely a clogged fuel pressure regulator. Check the pressure specs for your engine and test it out. Should be a fast fix.
