Our "New" SLXi

I wanted to say thanks to all who helped us to make the decision on our new boat. We did a lot of driving (Up to midwest CC and on the water) There was a lot of great information from all of you on wakes (Edwin A+) between the SLXi "classic" and the new SLXi and the CC216. There were so many of you happy with your classics that that is what we set our search on. I think I called every dealer in this half of the county to be on the lookout and Morse Lake Inboards found the one. Thanks Madman!!

Pretty much nothing! Actually thanks to you WakeGirl you really made us stop0 and think about what we really wanted right now with our 3 little boys. (only my 3 year old went with us to pick up) It has a Yellow Skylon 2pc Ext pylon and a locker sack and sack for the trunk if and when we need. Wedge complete, air/H2O temp, depth and 170 hours on the Monsoon

Also, find out if the points/distributor has been replaced yet. If not, I'd recommend that from the get-go. Our Monsoon was way down on power last year and we couldn't figure out why until we took it in for fall service. Weak spark.

First off time to change the screen name eh? j/k. Seriously unless mods have been made don't put a sack in the trunk.

Yeah, gotta get a new name As far as the trunk goes--I doubt he did that, but I know he used his sack. What damage could i look for to see if anything has happened? You got me freakin' out. I do remember reading that on a sticker on the 05 we looked at.

That's the important part, that it's got a Monsoon. The tower & sacks will be nice down the road - as you add gear, you start running out of room to put it all & having the tower can be a godsend. Look into adding Perfect Pass, it makes driving so much easier & enjoyable. Above all, have fun with her!

The fuel tank is under the trunk & if you add too much weight it could warp/crush the tank. With our direct drive, we found that putting a sack in between the rear seat & motor box worked well.

Congratulations! Great looking boat. I finally succumbed and put a tower on mine last year, but your pics reminded just how damn sexy these boats are without one! Shocking.gif

Exactly what Wakegirl said. Put one sack in the ski locker and one in the rear behind the engine cover and w/ the wedge it'll produce a nice intermediate wake.

It was hard finding a classic without a tower. Lots of digging. I wanted to enjoy the look without one and get one later as the need arises

Very Nice! I hope to see it on the water up at Caesar Creek.

We were planning on taking her out on Sunday, but they kept the prop to fix a ding in it. We may get out the Nautique to get her warmed up for selling her. Has to be warmer than today though.
