Vent intake hose in passenger side storage

I just noticed today while looking at some pics of boats on this site that I have never had the vent intake hose that goes from the top of the passenger intake down to the hole in the floor in the storage area.

I know that sounds crazy why myself nor anyone else servicing the boat never noticed it.

My question is, does the hose only go into that hole or does it go all of the way back to the motor.

I talked to Andy today and he thought it went back to the motor, but I looked in the hole and didn't see any hose at all.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure it goes just below the deck. IIRC it is designed to ventilate fuel fumes below the deck....

So just curious did you by chance have a amp mounted on that rear wall when you first recieved the boat? If so maybe the guys installing the amp removed it and forgot to put it back in. Assuming that the hole is there in the floor and the mount is up top of course.

Ya, it might be worth a call to customer service at the factory Joe. Pat is probably right, and NvBoarder's probably right. You may just need to get some ventilation tubing and shove it in there.

Have you ever noticed any gas fumes when you opened the locker?

I talked to Darin at Malibu and he said they just shove the end of the hose down in the hole and the other end connects to the flange. He is sending me out some hose.

Thanks guys,

Joe
