Adding functions to maliview ... How to use the mux?

I'm thinking of adding tower lights to my 2013 txi with the g3 tower. I can mount the lights and string the wire no prob.

My real question and (perceived?) diffuculty will be connecting it to the mux ... I can understand the older rocker switches but how will I know/find the appropriate connections?

Eventually will need to do the same for my second heater. For some dumb (but fortuitous) reason, the Malibu factory installed the heater wth a rocker switch next to my seat warmer switch instead of to the maliview. Now that I just got a second heater unit this means I can easily operate them independently (assuming I can figure out the mux).

I sure wish that someone answers this for you as I asked about 3 weeks ago and never got a response! I want to add some interior lights and like you wiring them is no problem but with a rocker switch, i would like to add to the maliview and just dont know how???

Thanks

chris

that is just one of the simple reason that the older boats are so nice ,you don't have to take it to a dealer to do something that should be simple .but no with all the high tech junk you can really mess it up,if done wrong.

after poking around last night, the black boxes under dash it seems there will be a citcuit under dash and prong you attach you power to then ground to ground term behind dash and then go in malivue switch menu and enable the certain accessory.

ill post pics when i wire up and mount my led bars post-21694-136936053483_thumb.jpgpost-21694-136936058485_thumb.jpg

I'm not totally sure how to do it, but it can be done. I think there are 2 or 3 extra circuits under the dash you can hook in to, and enable the extras on the mux switch. The dealer did it for me on my 2010, so that I could have the underwater lights on their own circuit, independent from the interior lights. You may want to ask your dealer if they have the instructions for enabling those extra circuits.

That is the challenge -- in the maliview I know how to activate and deactivate the switches. I am just now sure how to hook up my wires for the tower lights to the back of the mux.

When I installed my LEDs in the boat, I ran them to the AUX port in the MUX. This way I did not have to add another switch somewhere and kept it factory looking. Under the dash in the breakers there was an empty unused slot that said AUX and just ran the wires to that slot. I used a 30a relay between to lights and breaker. In your case, you would do the same, but put the wires under the twr lights slot in the breaker. You will not hook anything straight to the back of the MUX switch as you would with rocker switches. I hope that kinda helped

Any pics of your wiring setup? I'm adding forward and rearward (separate) tower LED lights to my '11 LSV 23.
