Started installing the front ballast sac & pumps from wake makers today. How tight do you thread the male thread & ball valve in? I got it cranked down by hang tight, am I supposed to take a wrench & work it more? How much thread should be visible?

Struggling with how to get the fill line & drain line on the pump. They have the barbed male ends & I cannot get the hose to go direct due to the where / how the pump lines up after I tighten down. Doesn't look like wakemakers offers a fitting or they are threaded 90's or quick connects which I don't think would work here.

Also, seems impossible to make the hoses night & need, strapped out of the way. Do you just leave them laying on the bag & let them get pushed against stuff when the bag fills?

Not sure where you are talking about on this one, if on the throu hull I would use a wrench you dont want any of those coming loose.

I had to do some modifications just to replace a leaky hose, due to the same reasons. I ended up laying my pump down and am planing on moving it in the future.

The hoses will need to be able to move while filling and draining, You can try and strap them in places on the sides allowing them to move up and down but there will need to be some movement. My stock is pretty messy my custom added ballast is a little better but not much.

Yes the brass fitting at the thru hull & the ball valve. I've read hand tight then 3 full turns with a wrench. That seems a bit much & just don't want to over tighten or under tighten.

Does it matter which of the two holes in the ski locker I use? I've seen pics of it on the left but to make things line up & the shut off handle to work I need it on the right?

The brass fittings are tapered so give them the full three.

I would use the one that works best.

It turns out you are not supposed to crank them down since it is a very low PSI. Hand tight use a wrench to snug, I went pas snug to make the ball valve & pump output line up the way I needed it to.
