trailer wheels and truck wheels match?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for new wheels on my truck. should they match the boat trailer or at least be the same kindof style (both black)? I don't want to look like a poser. LOL

I think you'd look more like a poser if they all matched..

My personal preference is not to be overtly matchy matchy between tow rig and boat.

The look should be downplayed but still match in some way. For example my truck is white and my boat has a good deal of white gel.....but it stops there.

I agree, I wouldn't go with matching wheels. It would look like you're trying too hard to show off and make it match rather than using it for what it's meant for, on the water!

I don't think they should be exactly the same but definitely similar styles...

Guess I'm a show off and a poser. I think it's neat if it all matches.

Post a pic if you've got it, it will help the OP make a decision.

I think the matching looks sweet.

For look and bang for the buck, I think matching XD Rockstars would be the way to go. I considered doing that with mine but don't want to dump that money into both my tow vehicle and trailer combined (especially when my tow vehicle has brand new tires on it). Too much money to drop all at once.

The boats have Gear wheels, not too hard to match.

I love rolling into crowded tourist towns with my boat in the summer, what does everyone notice? My trailer rims. Keep the focus on your boat and do something simple on your rig.

maybe you could get a matching wakesetter graphic for the side of your truck :Tease3:

I like it when trailer and boat have matching wheels. It looks complete.

My wheels all match. They are all round and the tires are black.

The matching thing would be cool, but to pull it off the paint would have to match as well. A blue boat with a red truck but matching wheels would look silly.

Just having the matching color rims on the trailer and tow rig is fine. I think it looks like you tried too hard if you have the same rims on both. There are chrome rims on our trailer and our tow rig, not even close to the same design, and we dont give a flying f***

I don't have matching rims at this time, but it is in the works and then I do. I will post a pic.
