Custom vs Standard Enzo Sac

Recommended Posts

pearl

I am getting ready to upgrade the ballast system in my 2006 VLX to improve the surf wake. Going to install the Fly High enzo style sac from WakeMakers on the starboard side but can't decide if I should go with the custom fit or standard sac. Though I remembered someone posting that the standard sac doesn't fit very well in the VLX and will not fill all the way. Talked to the guys at WakeMakers and they said the total weight for each bag would be about the same.

Savings from the standard bag will be used for a Jabsco or Johnson reversible pump. Any advise would be appreciated before I place my order with WakeMakers.

The standard Enzo sac will work in your boat (and most v-drives), but it won't be a great fit, which means seat cushions will pop up when filling, and you'll be giving up some valuable capacity.

If the price of the custom bag is too tough to justify, consider using two bags, one in the rear locker, and one under the seat cushions. With a reversible pump you can fill and drain both of them in tandem, and you'll give up very little, if anything, in terms of performance over our CustomFit Malibu bag.
